Capstan Shipping Services have a enquiry for a cruise
ship to accommodate at minimum of 75 plus cabins
for Australian buyer.

Age is of no importance, only that the vessel must must comply with all ‘ IMO - SOLAS 2010 REQUIREMENTS’.
Crew accommodation must meet Australian Maritime
Requirements.
Would the ” VAN GOGH ” meet the above requirements.

We were passengers on the Sea Diamond a year ago, and although quite adequately reimbursed for whatever we lost, we still remember the panic of the children - the adults were quite calm and handled themselves very civilly - and the rescue from this catastrophe. But we lived to tell the tale, It will be interesting if the truth ever unfolds and we know the reason(s) for the event to have occurred.

Why go there? Everybody knows this area is extremly dangerous, even tankers have been attacked! Was this an order from the owner, to see what happens to his crew? Or was the crew so stupid to see and find out?

Inaccurate maps? How stupid can you be to get so close to the shore and then complain inaccurate maps? This was a typical bridge resource management mistake. Everybody looks at the electronic maps and nobody looks at the depth sounder!
The crew is always blamed for everything, with regulations in Marpol 73/78, the ISM Code etc. But operator take no blame? Give your vessel good maps and make shure, your crew can do these outstanding manoevers before taking passengers on board!

Another Cruise Liner mishap. How much more to go? The Sea Diamond is still in our minds, the Explorer is gone and now this one. Bad weather can do a lot of harm, but was there no tug avaliable? No anchorage? No protected shelter or port nearby?
What was the crew doing?

У меня такой вопрос,кто что интересное подскажет буду признателен.
Мы с друзьями собираемся поехать в круиз по просторам России и ближнего зарубежья месяца на два на своих машинах,но не как не можем согласовать маршрут,если у кого уже был опыт такого путешествия,может,что посоветуете.Девчонок с собой не берем,думаем,что во все городах России с этим не будет проблем,если у кого будут рекомендации и в вопросе отдыха с девушками тоже буду признателен.

It will certainly be most exciting to see these three great ships together.
I spent two years of my life working on the QE2 in Clydebank as a carpenter.
My late father James spent a lot of time with the late Commodore Bill Warwick in the ship yard where my father was assisting in the design of the mast, bridge layout ,boat davitzs and air conditioning.
The last time I was on the QE2 was in Barbados in Dec/Jan. 1973/74.
I trust that she has a happy retirement.
